Bringing Care to Our Communities
Rural community health · Southern Oregon
Frontier Health Foundation works to strengthen access to healthcare across rural Oregon — starting where the need is greatest and the resources are thinnest.
Why Rural Health
Rural communities carry some of the heaviest health burdens in Oregon — and often have the fewest resources to meet them. We believe geography should never determine health outcomes.
-
Access to Care
We fund essential health services for rural communities that can't cover the cost on their own, so required care doesn't go undone.
-
Health Education
We share practical health resources with the people and organizations that serve rural Oregon, from prevention to early detection.
-
Community Partnership
We work alongside local districts, providers, and community groups to find the gaps in rural health — and build initiatives that fill them.
Our First Initiative: Firefighter Physicals
Small Oregon fire districts are protected by firefighters who are required to complete an annual physical — but many districts can't afford to provide them.
The Frontier Firefighter Health Initiative raises community support to fund those exams, so the people who show up for their neighbors stay healthy enough to keep showing up.
