Our Mission

Championing rural health in Oregon — because geography should never determine health outcomes.

Who We Are

Frontier Health Foundation was founded in 2026 in Klamath Falls by a local medical provider who saw the same story repeat across rural Oregon: required care going undone, screenings out of reach, and small communities left to carry the gap alone.

We exist to close that gap — advocating for rural communities, supporting practical healthcare solutions, improving access to preventive care and early detection, and making sure people in small towns get the same opportunities for health as people in cities.

What Guides Us

  • Advocate

Speak up for the health needs of rural communities, whose challenges are too easily overlooked.

  • Fund

Raise and direct community support to the required care and screenings small districts can't afford on their own.

  • Educate

Put practical prevention and early-detection resources in the hands of rural Oregonians and the organizations that serve them.

  • Partner

Work alongside fire districts, providers, schools, and community groups — the people who know their communities best.

Rooted in Rural Practice

Our founder is a family nurse practitioner who lives and practices in the Klamath Basin — performing the very physicals and screenings this foundation works to fund.

The foundation grew out of daily, hands-on rural medicine, not a boardroom. Our first initiative — firefighter physicals for small Oregon districts — started as a gap our founder saw firsthand.
